Description: EXCALIBUR gives the medieval theme that attracts many to their music. They won Z-Rock's "Blistering Leads" Contest. Deemed "Shredder of the Week", they went on to take the "Railer of the Month" title by a substantial landslide.
Latest News: HISTORY OF EXCALIBUR: EXCALIBUR was formed and was originally a three-piece band consisting of Mark Armenta, Steve Cassidy Armenta , and Eric Clark. Their intentions at the time were to be a dance/party band and thereby developed a repertoire of cover material consisting of four sets, mainly hardrock. As time went on the satisfaction of playing cover material wore off and the band dissolved. Mark who had been writing material, reformed the group under their original name and with new direction towards an ALL ORIGINAL ACT. For the first time, feeling of real accomplishment fell over each member as practice and performances took on new meaning. But the roadof an all original act, as EXCALIBUR later found out, was a rough one. It meant limited performances, mainly in Arizona, although this did not stop EXCALIBUR. EXCALIBUR had finally reached a point in their career where the next logical step was to produce a CD. Discouraged by an earlier attempt to produce a demo which captured the flare and style of the group, they recruited a longtime friend, Brad Lund to halp out with the production. Brad's studio experience with varied groups helps give EXCALIBUR the edge to compete with today's sound.
