Description: The single cd has of two tracks. Its name is BLU.
It has been recorded and mixed in the summer of 2002, at the LAIF Studio in Catania.
Blu has gone out in September.
Actually, “Blu” goes on Italian radio (Radio Etna espresso, Radio Amore, Radio Telecolor, Radio Popolare, Radio Touring, Radio RAI UNO and many others).Many Catania rock clubs play the disco although Vecchio has not label and distribution.
As matter of fact in Italy the radio play records only if you pay them. The same is with some big press. Blu goes free.
In October, La Sicilia has published a review and an article (we are still waiting for news on national and foreign press) about the past of Luca Vecchio.
The songs:
Blu tells about the Cosmo’s mystery of a man called Jesus, about the way he knows how to control the Cosmo’s energy of his teaching and of the crop circles.
In this song Carmelo Sciuto, a post rock guitarist, plays the riff with its electrical guitar. The lead guitar is Salvo Urzì, who plays the slide guitar and the other guitar sounds. The lyric is in Italian.
The second song is Luce (Light). It is a poetry written in the sea river of Acitrezza (the land of the Cyclopes). That night between the fire of Vulcan Etna and the sea thinking about a girl, infused the light in my heart. Her eye on the water and her spirit around creates the atmosphere that lives all days as if she is a part of the nature as well.
The lead guitar is Salvo Urzi that also plays the bass.
The lyric is in Sicilian.

Latest News: Luca Vecchio was born in Catania in the 1971. He begins to play, to write and to sing at 17 years old with the Pyrosis, a college folk rock band. Pyrosis collects lots of performances, in pubs, theatres and indie meetings.
In 1990, he records a demo tape that sells out in few times. Next year Pyrosis record, a mini cd (6 tracks) for the Lollypop records an Italian indie label. With “Without reason” (the title of cd) Luca Vecchio collects consents from major indie magazines, as an example: Rockerilla (Italy), Urlo (Italy), Rumore (Italy), CMJ (USA), Melody maker (GB), La Sicilia (Italian newspaper).
To promote the record the band played in Italy, Belgium, Ireland, and Spain. The tour consisted in lives, TV show and radio lives.
The Rough trade was interested in them for a reprinting of “Without reason”, but at last four components had left the group. So the Pyrosis dead!
They sold 3000 copies only without a true distribution.
Luca Vecchio has followed his way and since 10 years he has been writing poetry and songs.
He sound’s researches and has become a consultant for many local bands.
Now he plays a day a year only in theatre when he presents his works.
After 12 years, he has decided to record 12 tracks, but actually no record label is interested at his works. So, he thinks of printing a single for promotion.
