"The production on Yenrav's Karma is excellent! There are enough subtleties to make each song interesting, but what is really strong is Varney's catchy, smooth songwriting. (Quote from review of Yenrav's Karma...the first album)" |

Description: Playing downtown Orlando at the Lake Eola Bandshell, or at the City Hall for the mayor were really cool gigs. I had musicians Randy J., who plays really unique desert guitar along for the ride, and drummer-virtuoso Chris Valentino, along with Mark Donaldson on Congas. Also playing Spring Break up in Panama and Ft. Walton Beach, Florida was a trip!We actually played at a museum in Winter Park once and that was a great atmosphere for the type of music we play which is Psychedelic-Folk & Roll.Yenrav's Karma has recieved a lot of airplay over the years by radio stations like Central Florida's Real Radio, Radio M1 out of Sanford, and the college stations as well. Our music video has also aired on quite a few public access television stations which is always strange in a good way.
Latest News: Yenrav's Karma is the brain child of Will Varney. Will, who worked as an audio tech and did shows with Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, and countless other acts, started out his musical journey by playing all the "clone muzak" cover tunes just like a lot of musicians out there bashing their wares alongside the dirtbag club owners who insist you play Freebird in a continuous cycle of boredom. It was a waste of good hair and future so he left the circus and used his writing and recording talents to produce multiple CDs of original music and hit the road doing some coffee house, bookstore tours all throughout the state of Florida. Luckily, the boy had talent and a 12-string guitar that actually stayed in tune, so he was able to sell lots of CDs without the help of club owners or record companies! The "band" is really just Will, although he does bring other musicians into the studio and has worked with a lot of talented people. Will recently had Mike Gibbins (former drummer of Badfinger and current owner of Exile Records) over to his studio laying the drum tracks to the song "Turn To The Window" which will be released on the Yenrav's Karma fourthcoming CD which is actually the fifth! So far, Yenrav's Karma has released 4 CDs, 1 Music Video, and had a song called Mr. L's Ordeal, about the death of John Lennon, released on a Wallflower Records Florida Artists Compilation CD. Will Varney has also been a Writer/Publisher member of ASCAP since 1993. Recently, Will reverted back to his childhood by moving to Albany, New York to be close to Woodstock, NYC, the mountains, and hopefully sanity...well, three out of four isn't bad. Will has opened Zen Audio Recording Studio to business and has formed his own publishing branch of Yenrav's Karma called Karmatunes Ltd. He has joined forces with Ozark Audio to form the independent record label Flat-Top Records and will continue on the righteous path to enlightenment by playing original music and helping other struggling artists realize that they too can become coffee house icons!
