Wil Seabrook
Wil Seabrook, 28, was born in North Carolina, but moved to Europe as a
child. He began singing in a band at the age of sixteen, and when
the CD he produced as a senior project caught the attention of
LA-based producer John Ryan (Santana, Styx, Lynyrd Skynyrd), Wil
began thinking seriously about making music his life's work.
Five
years later the self-titled debut album on Ryan's Chicago Kid Records began to make waves and Wil's first single, "You
Do What You Have To," was named Record of the Week at BBC Radio 2 in
London (where he toured with Pretenders guitar ace Robbie MacIntosh),
propelling the album to #1 in 6 American markets at AAA radio.
In
2003 he signed with Maverick/WB records and his major label debut
was entitled, It's Your Life and They're Living it For You.
He has played with world class players,
recorded in historic Capitol Studio B in Hollywood among others, and
has toured the country opening for household names from Dave
Matthews to Chris Isaak.
Wil currently lives in Pasadena,
California.
