THE SHOW

Drummer Tommy Lee (Motley Crue), along with guitarists Jason Newsted (Metallica) and Gilby Clarke (Guns N' Roses), are forming a new band they've dubbed Supernova and they're looking for a lead singer this summer. ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA will be hosted by Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke, and comes from executive producer Mark Burnett of SURVIVOR fame.

This new rock super group will join returning co-host Dave Navarro on those oh-so-rock-'n-roll baroque velvet couches, to watch the competition, featuring some of the best rock singers from around the globe. Auditions were held all over the USA, along with stops in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the U.K., Iceland, and Malaysia.

The eventual winner will record an original CD with Supernova, to be co-written and produced by Butch Walker (Avril Lavigne, Pink and Bowling for Soup), and released in the fall before the band embarks on a world tour in early 2007.

ROCK STAR: SUPERNOVA is produced by Mark Burnett Productions. Mark Burnett, David Goffin, Lisa Hennessy, Dave Navarro, Tommy Lee and Carl Stubner are executive producers. Conrad Riggs and Eden Gaha are co-executive producers.
